Our Story
In 1971, Thunderbird Supply Company began with a single display case in a Gallup, New Mexico motel. What started as a small effort to provide quality finished stones for Native American silversmiths quickly grew—thanks to word of mouth, exceptional service, and a dedication to supporting traditional craftsmanship. Today, we remain a family-owned business with three Southwestern locations, offering over 15,000 products to jewelry artists around the world.

Our Heritage
Thunderbird Supply Company began in Gallup, New Mexico—where Native American craftsmanship is not only respected, but foundational. Many of our earliest customers were local silversmiths seeking reliable access to quality stones and supplies. Their trust fueled our growth, and their artistry continues to inspire everything we do.
For over 50 years, we've served the Indigenous and artisan communities of the Four Corners region and beyond. We are honored to supply materials that help preserve traditional techniques, while also supporting innovation in Native and Southwestern jewelry design.
