Shipping & Order Processing Policy

Shipping Carriers & Costs

Thunderbird Supply offers shipping via two nationally recognized carriers. Shipping and insurance charges are added to each invoice unless the customer declines insurance. If insurance is declined and the package is lost, it is the customer's responsibility.

Shipping costs are based on weight, dimensions, and destination, and we charge the rates published by our carriers. The shipping estimate provided on the website is based on the normal weight of items, but actual shipping costs may vary due to irregular item sizes. If your order costs more to ship than the estimate, we will contact you with the new total before processing or charging your card.

Shipping Policy for New Customers (Effective January 12, 2015)
  • Order Verification: Orders may be held for 3-5 extra business days for verification purposes to reduce the risk of fraudulent orders.
  • Shipping Address: Orders with a shipping address different from the billing address will not be processed for verification reasons.
  • Expedited Shipping: New customers will not be eligible for expedited shipping options such as overnight, 2nd day, or 3-day services.
  • Handling Fee: $3.00 for domestic orders and $7.50 for international orders. Some items may incur additional shipping fees, including hazardous materials or special crating fees.
  • UPS Delivery: UPS delivers only to street addresses, not P.O. Boxes. International and expedited orders cannot contain hazardous materials.

Order Processing Times
  • Orders placed after 10:00 a.m. MDT will be processed the next business day.
  • We make every effort to ship orders within 1-2 business days.
  • Orders requiring UPS 3-Day, 2-Day, or Next-Day services must be received by 10:30 a.m. MDT to be shipped the same day.
  • UPS Ground: Packages may take 1-3 business days to ship, depending on destination.

Customer Service Hours

Our Mail Order department is available Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. MDT. We are closed on weekends and major holidays.

Estimated Delivery Times (U.S.)

Delivery times are estimates and delays may occur due to holidays (see UPS or USPS holiday schedules) or unforeseen circumstances like weather.

  • Standard Postal: 3–14 business days
  • Priority Mail: 2–7 business days
  • UPS Ground: 1–7 business days
  • UPS 3-Day: 3 business days
  • UPS 2-Day: 2 business days
  • UPS Next Day: 1 business day

Insurance

Insurance is not included in your shipping estimate but can be added at checkout. If you decline insurance, Thunderbird Supply will not be responsible for lost or stolen packages.


Returns & Merchandise Issues
  • Returns: Please ship all returns prepaid and insured. If we made an error, we will refund your return postage. Returns should be packaged securely—we are not responsible for items returned in envelopes.
  • Errors or Damages: Notify us within 10 days of receiving damaged or incorrect items. Note damages with the carrier and retain packaging for inspection.
  • Shortages: Report within 10 days of receiving your order.

Safety & Liability

Thunderbird Supply is not liable for injury or damage resulting from improper use of its products, or from modifications or repairs by others.

Available for all chemical products at no charge. Please inquire if you need a specific S.D.S.
